The adventure has begun!!! Patrick and Aaron picked me up in NLR and we departed around 11am. After our first leg to Houston, Patrick suggested I start to log some flight hours. I figured if we are going to cover 6,000 miles in a plane, why not work on a pilot’s license. My first two official flight hours were from from KDWH in Houston to Edingburg, TX. It was great to finally get a feel for flying and learn the controls. Tomorrow…Mexico.

That’s so awesome… What a great experience.
Congrats on your first flight hours!
Very cool, guys! Be careful and take lots of photos. There’s lots of us out here who wish we were going with you, or that we had done so in our youth!best reason to fly anywhere? Because you can. Godspeed!
Hey Craig! Thanks! Hope all is well!
Log as many as you can, you should be able to solo and get your license just from this trip and save a ton of money in flight time.
Woot! Glad to hear you guys are having a great time, greetings from Caracas!
Thanks, Gerardo — How much time do you spend in Caracas versus Panama City?
I wish I could reply to every single one of you, but the support has been so overwhelming (on this and every other post) that I won’t be able to. Thanks, everyone!
What an awesome idea to go ahead and work on your license! I’m so excited/jealous for you 3! I’ll be praying for your safety as I watch and live vicariously through your videos and blog!
