Check out this short-clip from our wing cam. We are landing at the base of the Arenal Volcano in La Fortuna, Costa Rica. This was a very challenging and fun flight. We departed from Pavos airport in downtown San Jose for a 42nm flight to La Fortuna. Pavos is at ~3200′MSL and La Fortuna is ~300′MSL however we had to climb to 10,000′ to get across the mountains in between. In addition to a mountain range the winds were over 50kts at 10,000′ so it was quite turbulent crossing the ridge. Of course, after we crossed, it was a chop and drop approach to a beautiful landing at La Fortuna. We definitely used every horse power Charlie Banana had to offer on this one.

Gosh, that was fun! It was SO smooth. You make it look easy. I’m wondering if you filmed during any of the turbulence you described.
